We are the brand you come to when you want to become the obvious choice of your industry. Welcome.

Audria Richmond®:

Welcome. Welcome. If you are new here, hello. And if you are coming back, what up? I'm here to do our audio newsletter.

Audria Richmond®:

So, typically, I like to send, our audio newsletters out a little bit earlier, but, hey, I'm getting back from hanging out with my husband. We just celebrated 11 years of marriage, and my husband just turned 40 on his birthday. So we went out of town to really enjoy ourselves, to unplug, and so here we are. I wanted to make sure I got this audio newsletter out. So today, I wanna talk about Country Wayne's content strategy.

Audria Richmond®:

My husband and I were on a plane for a very, very long time, and so we had an opportunity to watch Country Wayne's interview on Club Shay Shay podcast. And as you all know, Katt Williams just made an appearance on that podcast, so I'm not necessarily talking about Katt Williams. Today, we're gonna be talking about Country Wayne because I think it's a lot that we can take from, his interview, especially as it relates to his content strategy. I'm not necessarily talking about the entire interview. The entire interview was amazing, but there's a there's a segment that I really wanna pull out and talk about that.

Audria Richmond®:

So Country Wayne, basically creates skits, and the model that he that he takes on is very similar to, like, a soap opera. And if you've ever yeah. If you're familiar with a soap opera, it's like it's never ending. Okay? It's a storyline.

Audria Richmond®:

It's a story that you get to be a part of, and, like, every episode builds upon each other. Right? You get to meet different people, different characters, so on and so forth. Right? So now that we kinda got that out the way.

Audria Richmond®:

So as he began to do these story lines, he realized and this is all in his interview, and I'm definitely paraphrasing. So I definitely want you to go back and listen to the interview to get the full context, but there's just one part I really wanna spotlight. So I'm trying to give you a little bit of context, just so you can kinda understand it. So, there is a spoiler. So if you're like, don't tell me I wanna watch interview for myself, you might wanna stop and then come back here after you watch the interview.

Audria Richmond®:

Okay? So I'm a give you a few moments. Okay. I'm back at it. So, so as I was, listening to it, the thing that was the most intriguing to me was not necessarily how much money he was making.

Audria Richmond®:

It had nothing to do with, you know, how big he's gotten out. The thing that I was most impressed by was his leadership skills in being able to develop a team of people who is responsible for creating content for the equal good of everybody building a platform together. I think that's the thing that was, like, hella impressive to me. So I wanna talk about it a little bit. So in the video, he talks about how they primarily post their content on platforms that can be monetized.

Audria Richmond®:

So as we all know, that's Facebook, business pages as I think you can also do a profile. I don't know more I don't know a lot about that. I'm just gonna stick to what he talked about, which was his Facebook business page, as well as his YouTube channel. So, obviously, you know, you can monetize on your Facebook business page as well as your YouTube channel. So the beauty in that is that it gives, creators an opportunity to create content.

Audria Richmond®:

And as a result, these platforms get to put in stream ads as a part of your content. So if as I'm watching your videos, I'm a see a little bit of content, then I'm a see an ad. I'm a see a little bit of content, then I'm a see an ad. So that's essentially how that works when we talk about getting paid through, in stream ads. And then, it kinda made me curious because I wanna look at my Facebook business page, and I'm like, I'm already posting videos on YouTube.

Audria Richmond®:

Why am I not putting those same videos on Facebook? So your girl content strategy about to change a little bit. But nevertheless, if you qualify for monetization, Facebook and YouTube will pay you, in exchange for being able to put ads as a part of your content. Now you obviously can't be, like, cussing and doing anything derogatory and or doing the most. However, it does create an opportunity for you to be able to monetize the content.

Audria Richmond®:

Right? So he said that they post 10 videos a day. That's 300 videos a month. Okay? Give or take.

Audria Richmond®:

The thing that I found was was interesting was after talking about it, because I know people gonna hear 10 videos a day, 300 videos a month. I'm just me. How many of you all are thinking that right now? Like, because that's the first thing that popped up in my head when I was listening. It was like, okay.

Audria Richmond®:

How in the hell are they pumping out this much content? Boom. He gives the answer. So in the video, in the interview, he talks about how they have, like, a team. And and and I'm calling these people team, but they're really actors.

Audria Richmond®:

Right? There are people who who are comedians and influencers and, like, people who play a part in these skits, And these skits go up on the on the platform and, yeah, they basically build out a storyline. Okay? Now if you wanna see this for yourself, you can definitely go and check out his content so you can understand, the context. But what I love more than anything is the approach to how he's doing it.

Audria Richmond®:

So he has his own series that he does. Right? But in addition to that, he has these actors that create content, and their job is to be able to, you know, create content on the daily and share it and and post it and get it uploaded right on the platform. They all put it on one platform, right, which is great because it's like all of this amazing content is going into one ecosystem, one place, and one location. And the thing that I that I love about that is that he has found a way to scale up the output without killing himself.

Audria Richmond®:

And that's the part that was so intriguing to me because I feel like as content creators, as business owners, we get inundated on a daily basis with, you gotta create content. You gotta create content. You gotta create content. You gotta create content. And as someone who understands the power of content, I absolutely love content.

Audria Richmond®:

I just know that a lot of small business owners don't have unlimited resources to hire 4 or 5 crews and have people follow them around and, like, it's kinda like one of these things that seem like it's only reserved for the rich. Right? And even if you got bread, I still feel like we can learn a lot about how resourceful it is. He said he shoot all of his content on, on mobile phones, so it's not like, you know, that he need a huge film crew. Right?

Audria Richmond®:

And the thing that I love about that is that, like, he just simplified it. He like, we pull out our camera, we shoot it. There's no editing, we cut off the front and the back, and we post. Think about how much more easier your life would be if you could create a content strategy that's simple, that's effective, that's useful, that you can get out to the public as quickly as possible. But the thing that's were we talking about 10 x and right?

Audria Richmond®:

Like, this is how he's taking this to the whole another level. He has his skits that he does. Right? He said he had his time slot that he always gonna post his content. But on the flip side, was what did he what are those other 9 videos?

Audria Richmond®:

Right? I don't know how many storylines he gets, so I've seen several of his story lines. But as far as, like, the daily posting of content and what he posts on a daily basis, he has, like, his one slot or several slides. Right? That's not the point.

Audria Richmond®:

The point is the other slots are other people contributing to the pot. So these people are obviously getting paid to create this content, which makes this machine works. But the thing that we can do as small business owners is and this is something that I've been toying around in the background that I've been sharing with people for a very, very long time. And if you and my mastermind, you know exactly what I'm talking about. But I've been on this multiply yourself thing for a minute.

Audria Richmond®:

Right? It's one of the reasons why I made it my business to create the books and create the planners and do the courses and we're now finalizing our certification program. I understand very a long time ago, especially when I was starting to reach burnout. I can't do all of this by myself. I don't wanna be in this game for 10, 15, 20 years, and I'm still the only one doing my own video, all my live streams, doing all my marketing content, doing everything myself.

Audria Richmond®:

Like, I'm actually transitioning into a model where people can be able to create content, for our business and our organization that's branded and and it has a standard to it. Right? It's very similar to, like, a Peloton model, or you know? I don't wanna go too deep into the weeds of this thought process because I'm still working on it. But I already understood years ago that multiplying myself was gonna be the wave that I wasn't going to become a slave to my own business.

Audria Richmond®:

And that's something too that he talked about in his interview, is that he understand that, like, his career is taking off. And that if he needs to break away and do a movie or do a deal or do anything, He wants to be able to keep his content going without it stopping. And for a lot of us, we can't even go and pursue other opportunities without replacing something else. Right? And, you know, as a personal brand, we're we're creating the content.

Audria Richmond®:

If you look at anybody, I don't care who it is. Go on go on Instagram right now. Go on Facebook right now. Look for someone's. Go to anybody you absolutely love.

Audria Richmond®:

You can go to my page. You will notice that these if we're gonna create content for our platform, it's us. It is it's me, it's you, it's whoever you are that's listening to this audio that's creating content with the intent of getting clients and customers. We are the ones that have to be out front and center educating, advertising and marketing our products and services because no one else is going to do it for us. Right?

Audria Richmond®:

This is why you see a lot of people getting into podcast, and interviewing people because that kinda lightens the load, but you still gotta show up to interview the person. Right? And so the thing that I feel like if I had to kinda predict the future of content, it's gonna be very similar to what he's doing if people understand the the magnitude of how awesomeness he is. The fact that he can break away, go do a movie, go work on any other project, and his his work is not affected at all. We all strive for that.

Audria Richmond®:

We all strive for the day where we don't have to necessarily work in our business all the time. I don't care how much you love your business. There's gonna come a time when you're gonna get sick. There's gonna come a time where you need to take a break. There's gonna come a time where you're actually don't even like doing it anymore, where you're gonna reach a level of burnout, or you're gonna need a mental break or physical break or a life break.

Audria Richmond®:

And I think that when we're building our businesses, we build as if these things will never happen or never occur. Right? And the fact that he's able to keep this content machine going, why, you know, while he's building out his platform and his brand and doing his thing, I think that's admirable. Okay? Because I feel like if we would think like that as opposed to thinking that we gotta be a part of everything and and and let me let me just be clear.

Audria Richmond®:

At some point, I was thinking the same thing, like, oh, I gotta create all the content, and, you know, I'm Audria Richmond, and, you know, I'm building my personal brand, and people know me. People just as much as people can know, like, and love and trust me, they can also trust all the team that I'm gonna build. They can also trust all the talent I'm gonna build. They can also trust all the personalities that we're going to train them, create content for our business. I'm literally creating a master plan right now on how I'm gonna replace myself in 2024, 2025, on the front end and the back end.

Audria Richmond®:

Because I think a lot of times when we talk about replacing ourselves, I can be I can be talented as a part of my business. I don't have to be the only one that talks about, the principles and our frameworks and our systems. That's why I wrote the books. That's where I created the planners. That's why I created the courses.

Audria Richmond®:

That's why I you know, we're finalizing this certification program. All of these are forms of leverage. Him utilizing other actors to create content, that's a form of leverage. Anytime you don't have leverage, you are literally, you know, digging a hole for yourself because, eventually, you're gonna wanna break. So, anyway, hopefully, you all found this to be useful.
