Hopefully, you had an amazing weekend. Alright? My husband and I had an opportunity to hang out with friends. Last week was really cool. It was all about, like, getting out, networking, meeting with people, catching up with friends, and just really getting you know, putting my head down and getting focused.

Audria Richmond®:

But sometimes, y'all, fear comes up, doubt comes up, and uncertainty. And so that's what I wanna talk about. We're gonna be talking about today facing your fears, doubts, and uncertainty. Okay? That's what we're gonna be talking about.

Audria Richmond®:

So I wanna more so give you some tips around when these things come up because if you are an entrepreneur, which majority of you all who listen to this audio newsletter are, oftentimes when you are an entrepreneur, you tend to go through a lot of things. There's a lot of things that creep up. You know? Fear could be like, I don't know if I wanna go live. I don't know if I should send this email.

Audria Richmond®:

I don't know if I should create this offer. I don't know if I should put down this deposit. I don't know if I should join this program. Like, it shows up in different ways. Right?

Audria Richmond®:

Right? And then doubt is like you don't believe. Right? It's something that you don't believe is going to be true. Right?

Audria Richmond®:

Or where you don't believe that it's gonna be possible for you. Right? Fear is more so like, okay. You know, I don't know if I should or shouldn't. Right?

Audria Richmond®:

And doubt is like you just don't believe. And so believe is all about really taking a moment to be like, you know what? I deserve this. This is possible for me. How is it possible for everybody else but me?

Audria Richmond®:

Right? And knowing that you are worthy of that. So I just wanna say that because as we get into these tips, I really want you to know that when you get to a dark place, when you get to a sad place, when you get to a place where you really don't know what is going on, when everything feels uncertain and uneasy and shaky ground and you're like, what do I do? I wanna give you some things that I personally have done over the years and continue to do even to this day. Whenever I feel discouraged, whenever I'm facing a fear, whenever I'm not sure if something should be a certain way.

Audria Richmond®:

So that's what I wanna talk about. So let's get into it. So, the first thing you need to do is fill your mind with something positive. I know that's, like, so, you know, simple to say. Yet many of us don't do it.

Audria Richmond®:

If we allow ourselves, we will sit in it for a long, long time. We'll sit in our feelings for a long time. We'll sit in our emotions for a long time. We will, you know, sit in a grudge for a long time. We will tend to hold on to things that we really don't have any change or say so over.

Audria Richmond®:

And if you know you had change over, make the change. And if you know you don't have say so over or no change over, let it go. And I know that sound, like, super simple, but what is it doing for you holding on to it? Like, what benefit are you getting from that? Right?

Audria Richmond®:

So you definitely wanna fill your mind with something positive. The other thing is something I like to tell myself is, like, you can have a moment, but you cannot have a minute. And what that simply means for me personally is, like, don't sit in this all day. Like, get your vent on, get your screen on, get whatever you need to get up out of your system and move on. Because sitting in it, wallowing in it, being sad about it, venting with everybody that you can call that will listen, that ain't gonna help you.

Audria Richmond®:

Okay? The quicker you can create tools, resources, and, a way to kinda ground yourself when these things come up, the quicker you can get through them. So here are some things you can do to fill your mind with something positive. Number 1, you can watch a motivational video. Okay?

Audria Richmond®:

You can go to YouTube, type in motivational video. You will be surprised by how impactful those videos are. Number 2, you can go and listen to a church sermon. Right? Yes.

Audria Richmond®:

You can go and listen to a church sermon. There's tons of church sermons out there, that you can listen to that are extremely positive. You can read a personal development book. There's tons of personal development books around bettering yourself, improving yourself, getting yourself out there, so on and so forth. Right?

Audria Richmond®:

The next thing is reading affirmations. Right? So reading positive affirmations allow you to reaffirm yourself to really get your mindset in a in a positive place. And so I know you may be thinking that like, okay, I watched the motivational video. I'm still mad.

Audria Richmond®:

I watched the church sermon. I'm still mad. I I went to the personal development book. I'm still mad. You know, I read the the positive affirmations.

Audria Richmond®:

I'm still mad. If you are still mad after doing all of those things, you gotta move to the next phase, which is, take a nap. Okay? I'm joking. But for me, sometimes it's like, if none of these things are working, I'm just like, you know what?

Audria Richmond®:

Go to sleep. Like, just go to sleep. Okay? But, anyway, I will say the next the next thing I was gonna say in all seriousness is, you know, for some of y'all, it is just taking that. You know?

Audria Richmond®:

You're just in it too deep. But for the most part, prayer prayer works y'all. Okay? I don't know what your religious belief. It's none of my business.

Audria Richmond®:

But whatever you do to get yourself grounded spiritually, whether that's prayer, meditation, whatever you do, right, do that. Because sometimes we have to get to a place of re of relinquishing control, which which is one of the reason why we get mad half the time. We wanna control something. We want something to be what it ain't. So, that's always going to allow you to do that.

Audria Richmond®:

And I know that when it's hard, it's so much easier to just quit and be like, forget this. I'm out. I'm done with this. Trust me. I stay having quitting moments.

Audria Richmond®:

Ask my husband. He gets the worst of it. Okay? I'm always like, baby, what about this? And should I do this?

Audria Richmond®:

And should I continue to do this? Like, trust me. There's a lot of reasons why you may want to quit, but just don't quit. Okay? And trust me, this audio newsletter is for me too.

Audria Richmond®:

Not just you, but for me too. Okay? And then, also, when we say things like it's not working, you must have evidence. Otherwise, it's all in your head. What evidence do you have when you say that?

Audria Richmond®:

So let me give you an example. If you say, I'm not getting engagement on social media. Do you actually not get engagement or you're not getting as much engagement as you would like? Right? If you say, don't nobody buy nothing from me.

Audria Richmond®:

I never make sales. Is that really, really true? Like, did you not did you did you, like, only get 0 forever? Like, you've never had anybody buy anything from you. Right?

Audria Richmond®:

Because once you have evidence, then you already know what the problem is. It's not like you don't know what the problem is. So that's why I said you wanna be clear around when you make these these blanket statements. Are they really, really, really true, or it's not meeting your standards or your desires? And really something we can't control, which is our expectations.

Audria Richmond®:

Right? And so is it not meeting your expectation? Like, what is it? So I just want you to know that if it is true, right, and you do have evidence, then go fix it. Quit complaining about it and go fix it.

Audria Richmond®:

Some of the things that we complain about, in all honestly, we in all honesty, is there's there's a book out there, there's a course, there's YouTube video, there's a person, there's a resource, there's something that can help us with our problems. Right? For every problem you dealing with, somebody has gotten over it or gotten through it or, you know, has found a way to cope or relieve it. So just know that there are so many resources available and accessible to you. Okay?

Audria Richmond®:

And so it's important for us to be grateful especially especially in those seasons where we want more or we're demanding more or we are expecting more. Right? Just take a moment to be grateful for what you have. You know, like, if you're listening to this, that mean you woke up this morning. You were able to hear my voice.

Audria Richmond®:

Right? So if you're listening to this, that mean you woke up, that mean that you still you're alive, you're well, you know, that mean you got hearing skills, you can hear me. So just be grateful and be thankful that we have a chance to try again and again and again. And every day you wake up, you have a chance to try again and do it better than you did before and try and try and try and try again. Right?

Audria Richmond®:

If life was for quitting, then we would live short lives. Use the life that God has given you so you can show up fully, not only for yourself, but for the people who are out here searching and looking for you. So don't be too hard on yourself. Take a moment to appreciate who you are and know that you are worthy. You are worthy.
